SENTIENT RUIN NEEDS OUR HELP

im sure most of you know how great of label sentient ruin is, and im sure you know a lot of their roster. fantastic label. i recently pre-ordered the new atrament lp which was due out last friday. i received an email from sentient ruin saying those lps would be delayed because of the shitty job the printers did with the artwork and they were working with them to sort it out. yesterday i received another email with an update basically saying that the printers arent going to fix it and that the guys at sentient ruin were gonna be stuck with the cost of having these jackets reprinted. yeah people suck(dont even get me started with the zao "funeral of god" repress disaster. it seems the guys at tragic hero records are some shitty dudes as well). but not you guys. you guys dont suck. sentient ruin doesnt suck. they could use some help covering the cost of this so, if you can, head on over there and pick up some merch. im sure we'd all hate for a great indie label to under because of something like this. im sure they'd appreciate it.

(U.S.) Atrament-Scum Sect LP (2018)

Country: USA
Genre: Hardcore, Punk, Ccrust
Label: Sentient Ruin Laboratories
Tracks: 10
Length: 24.15'

Dear Friends in the Press and Media worldwide -  we're happy to present you the second bludgeoning LP by dark crust punk vandals Atrament. This ill be a collaboration between Sentient Ruin, Blood Harvest Records, and Caligari Records (infos below).

Atrament (who feature in their ranks current and past members of Vastum, Necrot, Mortuous, Abstracter, Moral Void, and Black September) return with "Scum Sect", a thirty minute sophomore offering of sprawling hostility and of marvelously regressed sonic barbarism. Fusing together crust/anarcho punk, black and death metal with classic Swedish D-Beat, Atrament draw influence from bands like Doom, Discharge, Deviated Instinct, Skitsystem, Craft, Darkthrone and Dismember to instate widespread terror and summon total sonic warfare. Scum Sect is a must listen for any fan of Wolfpack/Wolfbrigade, Skitsystem, Gehenna, Vallenfyre, Acephalix, etc.

The release has already been picked up by various high profile publications who've premiered a track each of the release and expressed marvel at the band's unrelenting and spiteful sonic assault, with Revolver Magazine calling Scum Sect an "LP of D-Beat destruction", Decibel Magazine calling the band a "super group" and claiming that Scum Sect is "another new vehicle for the members' black misery", and CVLT Nation finally exclaiming that Scum Sect is a "D-Beat apocalypse".

Indeed tapping into a new realm of barbarism, Scum Sect, is Atrament's most vile and malevolent music to date and one of the most violent and wretched heavy punk albums of the year. Within the total chaos and endless destruction of these harrowing thirty minutes, the listener will face a world riddled with plague and torment that appears hopeless and torn as an utter firestorm of crashing d-beats, shrapnel-infused riffs, and abhorrent atmospheres is unleashed upon them with methodical hostility.

(U.S.) Petrification-Summon Horrendous Destruction EP (2017)

Country: USA
Genre: Death Metal

Label: Sentient Ruin Laboratories
Tracks: 4
Length: 15.0'

Dear Friends in the Press and Media worldwide -  we're happy to finally present you with the 7" vinyl release of Petrification's monstrous debut demo - Summon Horrendous Destruction!

This devastating demo was first released on tape last March, with the two pressings that were done selling out in record time and these cassettes becoming an instant collector's item! The original tape pressing received widespread acclaim with many top metal publications like Decibel Magazine and Metal Injection praising the band's reckless and original approach to super destructive old school death metal. CVLT Nation went as far as calling Summon Horrendous Destruction a “glorious slab of putrefying sonic death” and a “gore-obsessed frenzy of decaying sonic rot and of punishing death metal chaos”. Petrification’s old school death metal trudge truly is a gruesome thing to behold - their music batters the flesh and smashes bone with the cruelty of an orc unleashed from hell, and their debut demo Summon Horrendous Destruction is a glorious onslaught of mummified and gross as fuck old school death metal that will delight fans of Autopsy, Nihilist, Grave, Cruciamentum, Disma etc.

Petrification formed out of their love of Old School Swedish, British and particularly Finnish Death Metal, wanting to create music that while an homage to its roots, allowed its members to find their own unique voice in Extreme Metal. Drawn to the evil and doom-laden soundscapes of the Finnish Masters, Petrification set out to meticulously craft their own vision in the writing of the demo Summon Horrendous Destruction, lyrically and sonically conjuring apparitions of giant, man-eating Arachnids and other horrors that lurk on the edge of the Void awaiting their victims.

*This is some amazing old school death metal: FFO: Entombed, Gorguts, Exhumed, etc.  Summon Horrendous Destruction was released on cassette via Sentient Ruin Laboratories on August 17th, 2017.  Overall, this is a killer EP and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  ENjoy!

Sutekh Hexen / BLSPHM-Split 7" (2017)

Country: USA
Genre: Black Metal/Noise

Label: Sentient Ruin Laboratories
Tracks: 2
Length: 10.0'

Dear Friends in the Press and Media worldwide -  we're happy to present you with the final and ultimate form of Sutekh Hexen and BLSPHM's 2014 infamous tape split - now finally available in vinyl format as a dual-colored 7" enhanced by staggering DIY/hand made packaging.
Originally released by Dead Accents in 2014 as 50 hand-numbered cassettes, to coincide with Debacle Fest 2014, this release sees the two entities tread shadow and reap flesh at the peak of their game and in their period of maximum splendor. With each band spewing forth one spasm each of nerve-shattering audial terror, both movements can be seen as opposite sides of a dark prism which reflect light in different ways, but which both work in harmony to summon a darkened and wretched chasm of aural blight that envelops the listener like a ghostly deluge, wrecking unholy havoc upon their senses.

While this split saw Sutekh Hexen's infamous abyss of raw black metal, harsh noise, and drone combust with unseen vigor, and BLPHM's blackened industrial terror ascend to unthinkable qualitative heights, the original extremely limited tape vanished quickly from the market rendering the release both unfindable and somewhat forgotten - a fate much too unfair for such an iconic and masterful accomplishment in recent extreme underground music history.

As such we could not be happier to bring you the second and ultimate incarnation of this gloriously wretched split as a dual color vinyl 7", elegantly enhanced by a die-hard hand made packaging consisting of a black heavy cardstock flap, each copy letterpressed one by one by hand with silver inks by Demian Johnston of BLSPHM  himself. The standard and more widely available edition will be available as purple vinyl, while a limited edition black vinyl will also be available in extremely small quantities and with a slightly more elaborate look given by a letterpressed OBI strip. The staggering layout was designed by Sutekh Hexen founding member Kevin Gan Yuen using source imagery hand-drawn by surreal horror art luminary Stephen Wilson, while the original songs were remastered for vinyl by none other than James Plotkin himself.

*This is some incredible blackened black metal and noise.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!
