Perturbator is a band from Paris, France who formed in 2012, from the looks of things. Perturbator play a dark, cold, and moody style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, cold wave, dark wave, industrial, and electronic music within their sound. Musically, Perturbator can be loosely compared to bands such as Rope Sect, Cold Cave, Night Sins, Hide, and other like-minded bands/artists. Since forming in 2012, Perturbator have released a five song EP titled Night Avenging Driver in March of 2012, a twelve song LP titled Terror 404 in May of 2012, a twelve song LP titled I Am The Night in December of 2012, a thirteen song LP titled Dangerous Days in June of 2014, a thirteen song LP titled The Uncanny Valley in May of 2016, a six song EP titled New Model in September 5th, 2017, a remix of Julie Christmas & Cult Of Luna's Cygnus in June of 2018, and a five song EP of various covers in May of 2021. Lustful Sacraments is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Blood Music on May 28th, 2021. On Lustful Sacraments, Perturbator offer up nine tracks of dark, cold, gloomy, and moody sounding post punk, cold wave, dark wave, industrial, and electronic music.
