Funeral Chic is a Charlotte, North Carolina based band who formed in early 2014, from the looks of things. Funeral Chic play a harsh, brtutal, and caustic style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, crust, and grindcore within their sound. Musically, Funeral Chic can be loosely compared to bands such as Young And In The Way, Torch Runner, Seuizures, and SVFFER. Since forming in 2014, Funeral Chic have released a self-titled, five song EP in April of 2014. Hatred Swarm is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via To Live A Lie records on September 9th, 2016. On Hatred Swarm, Funeral Chic offer up ten tracks chaotic, volatile, and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, crust, and grindcore. Overall, Hatred Swarm makes for an amazing listen and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!

This is one of my favorite bands around right now, their debut EP is deadly, and now they have finally pulled back the curtain on their upcoming LP. Hatred Swarm is a perfect name for this record because after 20 minutes it will have you fucked up and pissed off. If you like any of the bands mentioned above, jump on this stream shit right now because this stands toe to toe with any of them. First off, let me apologize for my recent hiatus and general lack of posts here. Real life is just getting in the fucking way like it always does and I am just unable to keep up with this blog as I had originally intended. This could be my last post, or I could go apeshit and post a million things tomorrow. Either way, I'm sorry.
But let's move on to this new band, Funeral Chic, that brought me out of hiding. Consisting of members of the incredible band Narratives and also Pain & Panic, Funeral Chic has been lurking in the muddy shadows of Southeastern USA, waiting to rip your face off. They played their first show last month and now we have their first self-titled release, recorded by Rick Contes from Young And In The Way. This is 5 songs of tormented, pummeling, blackened grind-crust. The production is fantastic and when you're not headbanging your neck into oblivion, you'll be tapping your toes to killer grooves that will make any Cursed fan drool.
