Waingro is a three piece band from Vancouver, British Columbia who formed in 2014, from the looks of things.  Waingro play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of metal, doom, grunge, sludge, and stoner rock within their sound.  Musically, Waingro can be loosely compared to bands such as Torche, Black Tusk, Ancient Altar, Saviours, Junior Bruce, Kylesa, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2014, Waingro have released a self-titled LP in November of 2014, and an eleven song LP titled Mt. Hood in November of 2015.  III is the band's latest LP, which was released via No List and Sludgelord records on August 16th, 2019.  On III, Waingro offer up twelve tracks of dirty and groove laden metal, doom, sludge, grunge, and stoner rock.  Overall, III makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

JUNE 2014 UPDATE

Well I'm back to bring you another monthly round-up of new shit I've discovered recently. And here's my obligatory apology for not updating the blog more frequently. But anyway, lots of good stuff below to shove in your ear-holes. Mixed in with the usual bounty of hardcore & crust, there is some stoner, doom & even screamo stuff. I don't know what's wrong with me, maybe I hit my head, but I'm digging all of this stuff, so you should too.
