Here's a killer new split LP featuring new material from Montreal, Canada's Dark Circles and Oakland, CA's Abstracter. Dark Circles is a three piece band from Montreal, Canada who formed in early 2013. Dark Circles play a dark, metallic, and crust tinged style of hardcore. Musically, Dark Circles can be loosely compared to bands such as Hexis, Svffr, Holy, and other-like minded bands. On their side of the split, Dark Circles offer up four tracks of brutal as fuck sounding blackened/crust tinged modern hardcore. The second side of the split features two songs from Abstracter. Abstracter is a Oakland, CA based band who formed in 2012, from the looks of things. Abstracter play an ominous and dense style of music that incorporates elements of black metal, crust, doom, and sludge within their sound. Musically, Abstracter, can be loosely compared to bands such as Mutilation Rites, Black September, Immortal Bird, Primitive Man, and Gehenna. on their side of the split Abstracter offer up two tracks of oppressive sounding black metal, crust, doom, and sludge. Overall, this is an amazing album and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy! Look for this killer split to be released via Halo Of Flies, Moment Of Collapse, Sick Man Getting Sick, L'Oeil Du Tigre Records, and Shove Records on April 1st, 2016.
