Stay Asleep is a three piece band from Chicago, Illinois who formed in 2017, from the looks of things.  Stay Asleep play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, metal, crust, d-beat, and powerviolence within their sound.  Musically, Stay Asleep can be loosely compared to bands such as Baptists, Cursed, Tragedy, His Hero Is Gone, Centuries, Negative Standards, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2017, Stay Asleep have released a self-titled two song EP in May of 2017.  Mourner is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released on April 13th, 2018.  On Mourner, Stay Asleep offer up twelve tracks of chaotic, volatile, and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, metal, crust, d-beat, and powerviolence.  Overall, Mourner makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!
