Eaters Of The Soil is a three piece band from Utrecht, Netherlands who formed in 2020. Eaters Of The Soil play an experimental style of music that fuses elements of doom, metal, noise, and jazz improv within their sound. This is the band's debut LP, which was released via Forbidden Place records on July 16th, 2021. On their self-titled debut, Eaters Of The Soil offer up four tracks of dark, unsettling, and abrasive sounding doom, metal, noise, and jazz improv. Second Guessing is a four piece band from Utrecht, Netherlands who formed in 2013. Second Guessing play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, and screamo within their sound. Musically, Second Guessing can be loosely compared to bands such as Daitro, Sed Non Satiata, Raein, Funeral Diner, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2013, Second Guessing have released a four song EP titled Cycles Of Disappointment in December of 2014. Tijd Verdring is the band's latest EP, which was released on April 19th, 2019. Oust features ex- members of Crevasse and Landverraa, so going on that alone, you know you're in for something truly awesome. Oust play a scathing and brutal style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, and d-beat within their sound. This is the band's debut EP, which was released on September 26th, 2019. On their debut EP, Oust offer up six tracks of vicious and scathing hardcore, punk, and d-beat. Overall, Oust's debut EP makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. A thirty four-minute spectral avalanche of largely improvised raw black metal fury, Imperial Cult's debut LP Spasm of Light was recorded live in 2017 as a single, half hour long trance-inducing movement of embodied chaos designed to dismantle the psyche. The phantasmal vocals, combined with the repetitive intensity of the music, create an impenetrable fortress casting its spectral shadow unto a scorched and barren wasteland. As previously seen in bands like Fell Voices, on this mesmerizing inaugural work the Dutch band have erected an unyielding wall of black metal drone trance whose framework is rooted on repetitive, cyclical, and vorticose cyclones of furious raw black immersed in a storming haze of decaying ambient-noise that defies logic and sanity.
The three members involved in the project are key figures in the Dutch extreme/experimental underground, and are active in bands like Turia, Nusquama, Cryptae, Lubbert Das, Horrid Apparition, Dead Neanderthals, Solar Temple, Heavy Natural, Iskandr, Celestial Bodies, and DungeönHammer as well as tied in with the label Haeresis Noviomagi. Thematically, Imperial Cult is a reconnaissance of an inherited culture of physical violence and material exploitation. Marching towards self destruction, we must understand the inevitability of violence and quenchless nature of bloodshed. Imperial Cult refers to ancient forms of divine worship of emperors as deities, and the cognate contemporary worship of those who will ultimately destroy us. It is a call to power, to reclaim the sacrificial logic which enables our ruination.

His new full-length album, the 20th in 12 years, delivers exactly what the titles promises - it’s epically brutal, filthy and oppressive, but with such an over-arching grandeur, you cannot but feel compelled to descend together with Gnaw Their Tongues into sheer madness. This is an album that grabs your attention by force, and will not let you go. Another tour the force of this remarkable conjurer of darkness. Highly recommended.!!

Here's a killer split featuring the latest material from Manchester UK's Pine Barrens and Groningen, Netherlands Grinding Halt. I'm short on time, so I'll just use the label's press note as a description.
Another awesome pairing of bands on this 7” slab. Pine Barrens from the UK made a huge impression with their Kingmaker lp last year and the two tracks on here are in that same vein. Technical metallish hardcore rage which is hard to classify but if you want names i’ll say bands like Rorschach and Botch will cover some of it. Listen and judge yourself but i’m incredibly proud to partcipate in a release by these gents. They are simply briljant. Grinding Halt come forth with one longer track which combines everything they do so well. Mixing all the good stuff from hardcore, punk, sludge and metal with some high pitched vocals on top. Topnotch hardcore vinyl with killer artwork from Marald to finish it off.
Overall, this is a phenomenal split 7" and both bands absolutely slay on this 7". Don't miss this one. This split 7" was released via Degraanrepubliek records on February 27th, 2014. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
