Sarracenia is a five piece band from Gainesville, Florida who formed in late 2017, from the looks of things.  Sarracenia play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, and screamo within their sound.  Musically, Sarracenia can be loosely compared to bands such as Aviator, We Were Skeletons, Todos Careran, Saetia, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2017, Sarracenia have released a digital single titled Worship in January of 2018.  Motives is the band's debut EP, which was released on July 4th, 2018.  On Motives, Sarracenia offer up seven tracks of killer post hardcore, punk, and screamo.  Overall, Motives makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Gouge Away is a four piece band from Fort Lauderdale, Fl who formed in 2013.  Gouge Away play a caustic and vicious as fuck style of hardcore/punk.  Musically, Gouge Away can be loosely compared to bands such as Punch, Glasses, Cloud Rat, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2014, Gouge Away have released a thirteen song LP titled Dies in February of 2016 and a two song 7" titled Swallow B/W Sweat in April of 2017.  On Dies, Gouge Away offer up thirteen tracks of blistering and vicious as fuck sounding hardcore/punk.  Overall, Dies makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Terminus Cursus is a three piece band from St. Petersburg, Florida who formed in October of 2013.  Terminus Cursus play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of 90's style hardcore mixed with post punk, new wave, and kraut rock.  I'm pretty much at a loss as far as drawing comparisons to who this band reminds me of, which is definitely a good thing in my book.  Maybe early 90's 31G style hardcore mixed with 80's post punk?  Who knows.  Since forming in 2013, Terminus Cursus have released a five song EP titled 66666666 in November of 2014.  On Of is the band's latest five song EP which was released via  Bridgetown records on June 23rd, 2016.  On Of features five tracks of dark, heavy, and visceral sounding hardcore, post punk, new wave, and kraut rock.  Overall, On Of is a killer EP and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Look Mexico is a five piece band from Tallahassee, Florida who formed in 2004.  Look Mexico play a melodic and catchy as hell style of music that incorporates math rock, emo, and indie rock within their sound.  Musically, Look Mexico can be said to be influenced by bands such as Braid, Built To Spill, Guided By Voices, Pedro The Lion, This Town Needs Guns, and other-like minded bands.  Since forming in 2004, Look Mexico have released a six song EP titled So Byzantine in March of 2005, a five song EP titled The Crucial EP in May of 2006, a fourteen song LP titled This Is Animal Music in July of 2008, a four song EP titled Gasp Asp in September of 2008, a ten song LP titled To Bed To Battle in March of 2010, a five song EP titled Real Americans Spear It in October of 2011, and a eight song EP titled The Hang Loose Collection in August of 2015.  Uniola is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Tiny Engines records on June 24th, 2016.  On Uniola, Look Mexico offer up eleven tracks of brilliantly executed math rock, emo, and indie rock.  Overall, Uniola makes for a killer listen and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Asid Bateri is a killer new band from Jacksonville, Florida who formed in the summer of 2014, from the looks of things.  Asid Bateri play a dark and unsettling style of hardcore/punk that gives nods to Midwestern, D.C., and Scandinavian as sources of inspiration.  Musically, Asid Bateri's sound is dark, forboding, claustrophobic, and ugly as fuck.  Musically, Asid Bateri can be loosely compared to bands such as Walls, The Lowest Form, Hoax, and other like-minded bands.  This is the band's latest four song 7", which was released via Dead Tank records on December 24th, 2015.  On their latest 7", Asid Bateri offer up four tracks of dirty, dark, and ultra-negative sounding hardcore that's an absolute must listen for the kind of hardcore bands that Iron Lung records is currently repping.  Overall, this is a killer 7" and should not be missed.  Highly recommended! Ex-Breathers is a three piece band from Tallahassee, Florida who formed in 2011.  Ex-Breathers play a tense, discordant, and dirty as hell sounding style of music that seamlessly melds equal parts hardcore, punk, post punk, and noise rock in their sound.  Musically, Ex-Breathers can be said to draw inspiration from a variety of sources of underground such as the driving hardcore of bands such as Drive Like Jehu or Hot Snakes, the violent unpredictability of bands like Swing Kids or Blood Brothers, or  the post punk leanings of bands such as Pissed Jeans.  Tying the band's sound together in a tight package is a dark, dirty, and negative undercurrent, which keeps Ex-Breather's sound exciting, refreshing, an unpredictable.  I've been fortunate to be able to watch this band progress since first being ask to review them back when Elementary Revolt was active.  Past Tense is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Hex records on August 1st, 2015.  On Past Tense, Ex-Breathers offer up twelve tracks of tense and discordant hardcore, punk, post punk, and noise rock bliss that's an absolute must listen for fans of early 31G San Diego style hardcore, discordant hardcore, post punk, and noise rock.  Overall, this is a killer LP and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Axis is a five piece band from St. Petersburg/Orlando, Florida who formed in early 2011, from the looks of things.  Axis play a killer style of music that mixes equal parts late 90's metallic hardcore with sludge and noise rock tinged metallic hardcore.  Musically, Axis can be said to be influenced by bands such as Turmoil, Deadguy, Bloodlet, Engineer, Achilles, and Botch.  Since their inception in 2011, Axis have released a four song EP titled Rites Of Passage in January of 2011, a split 7" with Weight Of The World in September 0f 2011, a split 7" with Self Defense Family in November of 2013, and a summer tour cassette in June of 2014.  Show Your Greed is Axis' debut full-length LP, which was released via Good Fight Music on September 4th, 2015.  On Show Your Greed, Axis offer up ten tracks of punishing and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, sludge, and noise rock.  Overall, Show Your Greed is an amazing album and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Daleth is a one man hardcore, punk, sludge, grindcore, and noisecore outfit from Naples, Florida who formed in 2013, from the looks of things.  Daleth is fronted by aural terrorist J. Merrill who does all instrumentation for this project.  Since his inception in 2013, Daleth has released a double cdr titled Luisitania, a split cassingle with Locrian, a split cd with Blue Shift, a cd EP titled Lady Of The Lake, an EP titled On Board With The Ark Ruffians, and a a 7" titled Lathe Cut.  Tell The Wolves I'm Home is Daleth's latest eight song LP, which was released via For Documentation Only Recordings on July 17th, 2015.  On Tell The Wolves I'm Home, Daleth offers up eight new tracks of abrasive and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, sludge, grindcore, and noisecore that's an absolute must listen for fans of Full Of Hell, Retox, and Pg. 99.  Overall, Tell The Wolves I'm Home is a killer LP and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

House Of Lightning is a three piece band from Miami, Florida who formed in early 2014, from the looks of things.  House Of Lightning features members of Cavity, Dove, and Floor, so going on that alone, you know you're in for something truly special.  House Of Lightning play a progressive style of heavy music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, stoner rock, noise rock, and sludge within their sound.  Lightworker is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via Fair Warning and Translation Loss records on April 20th, 2014.  Lightworker features ten tracks of killer music with frenetic guitar work, over the top drumming, and psychedelic guitar riffs that will  surely please fans of Torche and Aeges.  Overall, House Of Lightning have absolutely nailed it with their debut full-length LP.  Seriously, I can't get enough of this album.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Cold Waste is a three band from Gainesville, Florida who formed in early 2014.  Cold Waste play a cold and gloomy style of post punk and cold wave style music that can be said to be influenced by bands such as Christian Death, Death In June, Joy Division and other like-minded bands.  Since their inception, Cold Waste have released a four song demo in March of 2014 and a nine LP on cassette titled Primitive in October of 2014.  This is the band's latest split cassette, which was released via Dead Tank records on May 12th, 2015.  On their latest split, Cold Waste offer up three new tracks of dark and gloomy sounding post punk and cold wave.  The second band on this split is Burnt Hair.  Burnt Hair is a two piece band from Jacksonville, Florida who formed in early 2013, by the looks of things.  Burnt Hair play a dark and gloomy 80's goth inspired style of minimalist no-wave style music.  On their side of the split, Burnt Hair offer up two tracks of synth driven minimalist no-wave music.  Overall, this is a killer split and both bands offer up top notch material for this release.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!  This cassette was released via Dead Tank records on May 15th, 2015.
