THE SLASHER out of Colorado Springs, Colorado play blackened negative hardcore with war metal intensity. SPITE dropped March 13, 2026 with four tracks of venomous aggression and hateful fury. Raw black metal meets crushing hardcore brutality and misanthropic vocals. Pure nihilism and rage channeled through relentless riffs and blasting drums. This is the first release from the band and they're already pushing some extreme boundaries. I love this smothering sound they have.

Denver’s ratstallion, known for their powerful, unpolished, and hook-heavy sound, blends shoegaze, grunge, and noise rock into a heavy, dreamy GrungeGaze. They recently dropped their latest offering, the Sisyphus Happy EP. Alone is a Colorado based band who formed in 2018, from the looks of things.  Alone play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of black metal, doom, and sludge within their sound.  Musically, Alone can be loosely compared to bands such as Void Rot, Scorched, Black Tomb, Noose Rot, and other like-minded bands.  Useless Existence is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Transylvanian Tapes on October 31st, 2020.  On Useless Existence, Alone offer up eight tracks of ugly, filthy, and raw sounding black metal, doom, and sludge.  Overall, Useless Existence makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

*Damn this is some seriously filthy and deranged sounding hardcore/punk from Colorado's City Hunter.  Deep Blood is the band's latest 12" , which was released via Youth Attack records on October 30th, 2018.  On Deep Blood, City Hunter offer up fourteen tracks of vile, filthy, deranged, and ultra negative sounding hardcore/punk.  Overall, Deep Blood makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Faim is a four piece band from Denver, Colorado who formed in early 2017, from the looks of things.  Faim play a scathing and vicious sounding style of hardcore/punk.  Musically, Faim can be loosely compared to bands such as Black Flag, Brain F, Cloak/Dasgger, and other like-minded bands.  This is the band's debut demo, which was released on April 7th, 2017.  On their debut demo, Faim offer up six tracks of vicious and scathing hardcore/punk.  Overall, this is a really solid demo and definitely worth checking out.  Great stuff!  Enjoy!

Yet another killer release from the chatbox, this time from PXLX. AYFKM (Are You Fucking Kidding Me) is a new five song EP from Denver, Colorado’s grinding hardcore band Call Of The Void. They are self-described as one part Pig Destroyer, one part Converge, all parts stunning. That pretty much sums it up, this band always puts out great stuff, and this is no exception.

Earthen Tongue are a two piece band from Denver, Colorado who formed in January of 2015.  Earthen Tongue features Clutch Bercow on guitars and driver as well as  Mike Kelley on drums and vocal.  Earthen Tongue play a raw and primitive style of music that incorporates elements of raw American black metal, doom, and sludge metal within their sound.  Deviant Burial is the band's debut three song demo, which is slated for release on June 3rd, 2015.  On Deviant Burial, Earthen Tongue offer up three tracks of killer black metal, doom, and sludge.  Overall, Deviant Burial is an amazing demo and Earthen Tongue is an absolute must listen for fans of Ancestors, Mutilation Rites, and Cara Neir.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!
