Monplaisir is a four piece band from Lyon, France who formed in 2015, from the looks of things. Monplaisir play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, indie rock , and emo within their sound. Musically, Monplaisir can be loosely compared to bands such as Built To Spill, Unwound, Slint, Rodan, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2015, Monplaisir have released a self-titled demo in July of 2016. The Agreement is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via Adagio 830 records on January 29th, 2019. On The Agreement, Monplaisir offer up eight tracks of tense and dynamic sounding post hardcore, indie rock, and emo. Overall, The Agreement makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
