Holy shit! Where did this band come from and why haven't I heard of these dudes before? Police State is a four piece band from York, Pennsylvania who formed in November of 2013. Police State play a raw and dirty as fuck sounding style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, crust, powerviolence, and grindcore within their sound. Musically, Police State can be said to be influenced by bands such as Infest, Left For Dead, Chokehold, Haymaker, and Iron Lung. Since their inception in 2013, Police State have released a self-titled demo in December of 2013, three singles in 2014, and a ten song LP titled Rot In Prejudice in August of 2014. Mind Collapse is the band's latest ten song LP, which was released via Grimoire records on November 6th, 2015. On Mind Collapse, Police State offer up ten tracks of raw, filthy, and venomous sounding hardcore, punk, crust, powerviolence, and grindcore. Overall, Mind Collapse is an amazing LP and should not be missed. Seriously, this is the best album I've heard all week. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
