Mediated Form is a three piece band from Victoria, British Columbia, who formed in early 2018, from the looks of things.  Mediated Form play a chaotic and vicious as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, grindcore, and powerviolence within their sound.  Musically, Mediated Form can be loosely compared to bands such as Iron Lung, Water Torture, BOAK, Fluoride, and other like-minded bands.  This is the band's self-titled debut, which was released on April 14th, 2018.  On their self-titled debut, Mediated Form offer up six tracks of vicious, scathing, and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, grindcore, and powerviolence.  Overall, Mediated Form's demo makes for a great listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended! This is the band's demo, which was released on cassette via Invisible Audio records on January 16th, 2018.  On their self-titled debut, Rhino offer up five tracks of scathing and ferocious sounding hardcore/punk. Daudyflin is a four piece band from Reykjavík, Iceland who formed in 2016.  Daudyflin  play a raw, vicious, and feral style of hardcore/punk.  Since forming in 2016, Daudyflin  have released a self-titled demo in January of 2016, a five song EP titled Drepa Drepa in July of 2016, a full-length LP titled Ofbeldi in May of 2017, and a split tour cassette with Xylitol in July of 2017.  This is the band's latest 7", which was released via Iron Lung records on April 27th, 2018.  On their latest 7", Daudyflin  offer up six tracks of vicious and scathing hardcore/punk.  Overall, this 7" makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Arms is a one man musical project from Orlando, Florida who features Paul Hundeby, who plays and performs all music on the songs featured on both albums released by Arms thus far.  Musically, Arms play a chaotic and volatile style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, and noise rock within it's sound.  Musically, bands such as Converge, Botch, Coalesce, and Breather Resist can be good starting points of reference in describing Arms' sound.  Since its inception in 2012, Arms has released one full-length LP titled Bunk Alchemy in October of 2012, and a thirteen song LP titled Blackout in January of 2016.  On their side of the split, Arms offer up two songs of chaotic and volatile sounding hardcore, punk, noisecore.  The 2nd side of the split features new material from Seizures.  Seizures is a four piece band from Orange County, California who formed in April of 2009.  Seizures play a similar style of chaotic hardcore, punk, and noisecore.  Since forming in 2009, Seizures have released one digital single, a self-titled demo in June of 2011, a full-length LP titled Antipathy in April of 2011, a split with Colombian Necktie in May of 2012, and a fourteen song LP titled The Sanity Universal in November of 2013.  On their side of the split, Seizures offer up two tracks of chaotic, volatile, and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, noisecore.  Overall, this is a killer split and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!  This split 7" was released via Dark Trail records on May 2nd, 2018.

Here's a killer split 7" featuring new material from Baton Rouge Louisiana's Woorms and New Orleans, LA based A Hanging.  Woorms is a three piece band from Baton Rouge, LA who formed in early 2017, from the looks of things.  Woorms play a killer style of doomy noise punk and sludge.  Musically, Woorms can be loosely compared to bands such as Eyerhategod, Buzzoven, Melvins, War Brides, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2017, Woorms have released two digital singles and a self-titled six song demo in March of 2017.  On their side of the split, Woorms offer up track of doomy/sludge tinged punk and noise rock.  The next three songs on the split come courtesy of A Hanging.  A Hanging is a three piece band from New Orleans, LA who formed in 2007.  A Hanging play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, metal, and thrash within their sound.  Since forming in 2007, A Hanging have released a ten song LP titled Food For Rats in May of 2007, a four song EP titled Tales Of Woe in May of 2013, a split with Ossacrux in July of 2015, contributed a track to From Crescent City Carnage compilation in September of 2016, and contributed a track to the This City Is Sinking compilation in March of 2017.  On their side of the split, A Hanging offer up three tracks of killer hardcore, punk, metal, and thrash.  Overall, this split 7" makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  This killer split was released on April 8th, 2018.

Scalp The Pioneer is three piece band from Boston, MA who formed in 2017, from the looks of things.  Scalp The Pioneer features ex-member As The Sun Sets and Daughters, so going on that alone, you know you're in for something truly special.  Scalp The Pioneer play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, sludge, grindcore, and powerviolence within their sound.  Musically, Scalp The Pioneer can be loosely compared to bands such as Fulgora, Lunglust, Fucking Invincible, Jesuit, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2017, Scalp The Pioneer have released a self-titled demo in April of 2017, sand a digital single titled Alston 4:20 in December of 2017.  Graveyard Tan is the band's latest EP, which was released on April 30th 2018,   On Graveyard Tan, Scalp The Pioneer offer up four tracks of volatile, chaotic, and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, sludge, grindcore, and powerviolence.  Overall, this is a killer EP and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Death Engine is a four piece band from Lorient, France who formed in May of 2012.  Death Engine play an ambitious and forward thinking style of music that borrows from several sub genres of underground music.  Death Engine's style of forward-thinking music draws inspiration from a variety of sources that include post hardcore, sludge, post metal, and noise rock.  Musically, Death Engine can be said to be influenced by bands such as Eyehategod, Buzzoven, Botch, Breather Resist, Celeste, and Neurosis.  With that being said, these influences should only be used as a starting point of reference when describing Death Engine's sound because their style is truly unique and impossible to ignore.  Since forming in 2012, Death Engine have released a four song EP titled Amen in June of 2013 and a full-length LP titled Mud in March of 2015.  Place Noir is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Throatruiner records on April 13th, 2018.  On Place Noir, Death Engine offer up six tracks of amazing post hardcore, sludge, noise rock, and post metal.  Overall, Place Noir makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Thou is a five piece band from Baton Rouge, Louisiana who formed in 2005.  Thou play a raw, oppressive and heavy as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of metal, doom, and sludge within their sound.  Since forming in 2005, Thou have released full-length LP titled Tyrant in September of 2007, a full-length LP titled Peasant in November of 2008, a full-length LP titled Summit in September of 2010, and a full-length LP titled Heathen in May of 2014.  In addition to their full-length LP's Thou have released a prolific amount of split LPs, EPs, 7"s and compilation tracks in addition to their solo output.  Thou have done splits with The Body, Black September, Leech, Haarp, Salome, Kowloon Walled City, Moloch, Great Falls, The City Is The Tower, Human Intruder, Mohoram Atta, Hell, Hirs, and Barghest.  Thou has been one of my favorite doom/sludge bands since at least 2007 and this band is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down.  The House Primordial is Thou's latest full-length LP, which was released via Robotic Empire records on May 1st, 2018.  On The House Primordial, Thou offer up ten tracks of raw, filthy, oppressive, and heavy as fuck sounding metal, doom, and sludge.  Overall, The House Primordial makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!  Look for physical copies of The House Primordial to ship on May 29th, 2018.
