SERPENT COLUMN

came across this recently and its definitely one of the best black metal albums ive heard recently. great full but raw production and riffs for days. and unlike most black metal where the riffs are almost fluid and just flow from one to the other, here they take a more jagged, slightly disjointed approach. serves this album well. gives it a more unsettling atmosphere than most black metal. there is a vinyl release due in October through fallen empire but as of now its not listed on their site. ill be on it when its available though I can guarantee that.

Old Lines is a Baltimore, Maryland based band who formed in 2010.  Formed from the ashes of Pulling Teeth, Old Lines play a vicious and brutal as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, crust, and d-beat within their sound.  Since forming in 2010, Old Lines have released a seven song self-titled LP in November of 2012, a three song EP titled If You See Something, Say Something in October of 2013, an eleven song LP titled No Child Left Behind in October of 2014, and a digital single titled Midnight In Baltimore in May of 2015.  To Build A Fire is the band's latest split 7" with author/activist Will Potter.  To Build A Fire features two new songs by Old Lines and two tracks of spoken word by Will Potter.  Overall, this is a killer 7' and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Holy shit!  This absolutely rips.  Blank Look is a four piece band from Tempe, Arizona who formed in early 2015, from the looks of things.  Blank Look play a vicious, scathing, and brutal as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, grindcore, and powerviolence within their sound.  Musically, Blank Look can be loosely compared to bands such as Nails, Moral Void, Fucking Invincible, SVFFR, Suffering Quota, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2015, Blank Look have released a self-titled, five song demo in May 2015, a self-titled promo in January of 2016, and a seven song EP titled Pain in July of 2016.  Void is the band's latest seven song EP, which was released on cassette via Blacksmith's Blood Inc. records on July 30th, 2017.  On their latest EP, Blank Offer up seven tracks of vicious, volatile, chaotic, and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, grindcore, and powerviolence.  Overall, Void makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!  Seriously, I can't even begin to describe how good this EP is!
