Direwolves is a five piece band from Lorient, France who formed in 2011. Direwolves play a dark, metallic, crusty, and sludge tinged style of modern hardcore. Musically, Direwolves can be loosely compared to bands such as Birds In Row, Death Mecedes, Burning Bright, No Omega, The Tidal Sleep, and other like-minded bands. Since their inception in 2011, Direwolves have released a two song demo titled MMXI in October of 2011 and a six song 12" titled Me From Myself, To Banish on October 15th of 2012. Aegri Somnia is the band's latest eleven song LP, which was released via Throatruiner records on March 31st, of 2014. On Aegri Somnia, Direwolves offer up eleven tracks of blackened, metallic, yet slightly melodic modern hardcore that totally destroys beyond belief. Overall Aegri Somnia kicks ass beyond belief. Pleasure Cross is a Portland, Oregon based band who got their start in 2013, from the looks of things. Pleasure Cross features current and former members of Superbad, Engorged, Basement Animal, Lords of Light, and also features August Alston, who quit singing in Walls to focus his attention on Pleasure Cross. Pleasure Cross play a blistering and caustic style of music that mixes equal parts hardcore, punk, and thrash within their sound. Wait For The End is the band's latest eleven song 12", which was released via Iron Lung records on October 15th, 2014. On their latest offering, Pleasure Cross offer up eleven tracks of blistering and ultra-pissed sounding hardcore, punk, and thrash that's an absolute must listen for fans of Infest, Left For Dead, and Sick/Tired. Overall, this album kicks some serious ass and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!

The Ukiah Drag are a five piece post punk, slowcore, indie rock, and no wave band from Florida and transplanted to New England who formed in 2013, by the looks of things. The Ukiah Drag play a dark, foreboding, and sinister sounding style of music that seamlessly combines elements of post punk, indie rock, and dark rock n' roll music within their sound. Musically, The Ukiah Drag can be said to be influenced by bands such as Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Iggy And The Stooges, and The Velvet Underground, and possibly The Doors. The Ukiah Drag's sound has a psychedelic quality that's reminiscent of being lost somewhere in the desert night maybe in Arizona somewhere at 3 in the morning. The Reaper's Quarters is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Wharf Cat records in September of 2014. The Reaper's Quarters features seven tracks of stark and foreboding tracks of rock n' roll laced post punk that's an absolute must listen for fans of Neon Blud, Destruction Unit, and other like minded musical misanthropes.
