Whipping Post is a four piece band from Leeds, UK who formed in 2016, from the looks of things. Whipping Post features members of Perspex Flesh, so going on that alone, you know you're in for some truly brutal music. Whipping Post play a vicious and blown out sounding style of noise damage hardcore/punk. Musically, Whipping Post can be loosely compared to bands such as The Lowest Form, Gay Kiss, Slices, Walls, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2016, Whipping Post have released a four song demo titled Taste The Whip in April of 2016 and an eleven song LP titled Spurn Point in January of 2019. Cheating The War Game is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Donor records on January 22nd, 2020. On Cheating The War Game, Whipping Post offer up ten tracks of brutal and vicious as fuck sounding noise damaged hardcore/punk. Overall, Cheating The War Game makes for a killer listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
