Typesetter is a four piece band from Chicago, Il who formed in the fall of 2012, from the looks of things. Typesetter play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of punk, emo, indie rock, and grunge within their sound. Musically, Typesetter can be loosely compared to bands such as Braid, Hot Water Music, Small Brown Bike, Prawn, Have Mercy, and older Pity Sex. Since their inception in 2012, Typesetter have released a five song EP titled #1 in December of 2012, a three song EP titled #2 in August of 2013, a twelve song LP titled Wit's End in October of 2014, a three song EP titled Typesetter #5 in May of 2016, and a two song 7" titled Living Room/Glimpse in July of 2016. Nothing Blues is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via 6131 records on October 26th, 2018. On Nothing Blues, Typesetter offer up ten tracks of melodic, yet slightly dark sounding punk, emo, indie rock. Overall, Nothing Blues makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.
