The Orphan is a four piece band from Melbourne, Australia who formed in 2015, from the looks of things. The Orphan play a killer style of noise damaged hardcore, punk, and sludge. Musically, The Orphan can be said to be influenced by bands such as Jesuit, Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye, Botch, and Coalesce. Since forming in 2015, The Orphan have released a six song EP titled The Liar in April of 2016, a digital single titled Built This Pool in December of 2017, a three song EP titled Gods. Gutters in June of 2017, and a digital single titled Bad Habit in June of 2018. Death Rattle is the band's latest EP, which was released on June 30th, 2019. On Death Rattle, The Orphan offer up seven tracks of raw, sludgy, and completely unhinged sounding hardcore, punk, sludge, and noise rock. Overall, Death Rattle is a killer EP and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
