Lower Species play a stripped down/bare bones style of 80's USHC influenced hardcore.  Musically, Lower Species can be loosely compared to bands such as Brainkiller, Scapegoat, Negative Approach, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2015, Lower Species have released a self-titled demo in November of 2015.  High Roller is the band's latest EP, which was released via Undertone records on October 15th, 2018.  On High Roller, Lower Species offer up five tracks of brutal sounding 80's USHC influenced hardcore/punk.  Overall, High Roller makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Great stuff!  Enjoy!

Here's a killer split LP featuring new material from FL's Night Witch and Philadelphia PA's HIRSNight Witch is a four piece band from Tallahassee, Florida who formed in 2013, from the looks of things.  Night Witch play a vicious and vicious as fuck style of hardcore/punk.  Musically, Night Witch can be loosely compared to bands such as Punch, Closet Witch, Closet Burner, and other like-minded bands.  On their side of the split Night Witch offer up six tracks of volatile and chaotic covers of HIRS songs.  HIRS is a Philadelphia, PA based band who formed in 2011, from the looks of things.  HIRS play a scrappy, dirty, and frenetic style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, and noise rock within their sound.  As far as musical influences go, HIRS can be loosely compared to a mix of bands such as PG. 99, American Nightmare or Swing Kids channeled through the noise rock stylings of Fight Amp or Whores.  On their side of the split HIRS cover even Night Witch songs, offering up seven tracks of chaotic and volatile sounding hardcore, punk, and noise rock.  Overall, this is an amazing split and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy! This killer split was released on February 1st 2019.
