Ovlov

I semi-recently stumbled upon Ovlov and I have been riding a nonstop wave of fuzzed out guitar space-pop nostalgia with them ever since. Like a lot of us here, I'm in my 40's now, and this takes me right back to the early Nineties high school and I literally cannot stop listening to this band. They are a great mix of Dinosaur Jr., Archers Of Loaf, Sebadoh, Superchunk, early Weezer and even Pink Floyd strangely. Whatever cocktail they are making, I'm drinking the fuck out of it. Some other more recent bands they could be compared to are Happy Diving, Bugg, Nine Black Alps, Nothing and Pet Fox. But please, feel free to point me in the direction of anything else like this in the chat. Until then, hope you enjoy them.

So I got hooked on Land Of Talk from their debut EP from 2006. The vocals and songwriting were enchanting to me and the production on this EP was super raw, which I loved. After that, each release got progressively more mellow and more produced, but the heart and soul was still there, so I still enjoy them all. Think of this as a replacement for Sunday Vibes.
