Svalbard is a three piece band from Bristol, United Kingdom who formed in 2011.  Svalbard play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, post hardcore, and shoegaze within their sound.  Musically, Svalbard can be loosely compared to bands such as Birds In Row, Direwolves, Withers, and other like-minded bands.  Svalbard's sound definitely stands out from the pack because the band throws in elements of atmospheric post rock and hints of melody to keep things interesting.  Since their inception in 2011, Svalbard have released a self-titled three song 7" in March of 2012, a four song 10" titled Gone Tomorrow in February of 2013, a two song 7" titled Flightless Birds in October of 2013, split LP with Pariso in July of 2014, and a compilation cd containing the band's discography from their various 7", 10", and split LP with Pariso in January of 2015. a full length LP titled One Day All This Will End in September of 2015, a discography collecting the band's various splits from 2012-2014 in October of 2016, a split with The Tidal Sleep in January of 2017, and an eight song LP titled It's Hard To Have Hope in May of 2018.  When I Die, Will I Get Better? is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Translation Loss and Church Road records on September 25th, 2020.  On When I Die, Will I Get Better?, Svalbard offer up eight tracks of killer hardcore, punk, post hardcore, and shoegaze.  Overall, When I Die, Will I Get Better? is an amazing LP and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Pariso is a five piece band from London, United Kingdom who formed in 2009.  Pariso play a crushing style of heavy music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, crust, and metal within their sound.  Since their inception in 2009, Pariso have released a prolific amount of material that includes a split cassette with We'll Die Smiling, a split 7" with Manuscripts, a split with Kerouac, a seven song LP titled Sooner Insignificant Better, a two song 7" titled I'd Rather Die Than Go To Heaven, a two song 7" titled Square, a twenty four song discography LP 2009-2011, a twelve song LP titled Nothing Beyond Ever After, a three song flexi 7" titled Black Milk Postcard, a nine song LP titled Consanguinity,a five song EP titled Cover Buzz, and a three song 7" titled Movember 2013.  Svalbard is a four piece band from Bristol, United Kingdom who formed in 2011.  Svalbard play a similar style of music as Pariso, but lean towards the melodic crust spectrum of things in terms of their music.  Svalbard have released a three song 7", a four song 10" titled Gone Tomorrow, a two song 7" titled Flightless Birds, a second three song 7", and a twelve song discography cd compiling all the band's recorded material released from 2012-2014.  This is the latest split LP featuring five new tracks from Pariso, three tracks from Pariso, and a collaboration song from both bands.  This split LP was released via Tangled Talk records on July 7th, 2014.  Overall, this is a killer LP and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!
