Phantom Hymn is a one person project from Portland, Oregon, who formed in early 2019, from the looks of things. Phantom Hymn play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, crust, doom, and d-beat within their sound. Musically, Phantom Hymn can be loosely compared to bands such as Ancst, Tragedy, His Hero Is Gone, Martyrdod, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2019, Phantom Hymn have released a two song EP titled A Story Of Days To Come in June of 2019. The Future As Nightmare is the band's debut LP, which was released on April 15th, 2020. On The Future As Nightmare, Phantom Hymn offer up ten tracks of volatile and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, crust, doom, and d-beat. Overall, The Future As Nightmare makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
