Damn, Here's a killer split featuring new material from San Francisco, CA's Body Void and CA's Keeper.  Body Void is a three piece band from San Francisco, CA who formed in 2014.  Body Void play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of doom, black, metal, and sludge within their sound.  Musically, Body Void can be loosely compared to bands such as Primitive Man, Northless, Cough, Fange, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2014, Body Void have released a self-titled demo in December of 2014, a digital single titled Patriarch Scum in May of 2015, a four song EP titled II in June of 2015, a four song LP titled Ruins in June of 2016, a five song LP titled  I Live Inside A Burning House in June of 2018, and a two song LP titled You Will Know The Fear You Forced Upon Us in March of 2019.  On their side of the split, Body Void offer up one track of raw, filthy, and brutal as fuck sounding doom, black metal, crust, and sludge.  The second two tracks on the album come courtesy of Keeper.  Keeper are a four piece band from California who formed in June of 2014.   Keeper play a dark, visceral, and brutal as fuck sounding style of music that incorporates elements of black metal, doom, and sludge within their sound.  Musically, Keeper can be loosely compared to bands such as Mutilation Rites, Ilsa, Hexis, and Thou.  Since forming in 2014, Keeper have released a five song LP titled MMXIV in July of 2014, a two song LP titled 777/Astral Rebirth in January of 2015, a two song LP titled The Space Between Your Teeth in April of 2015, and a split with Old Witch in July of 2015.  On their side of the split, Keeper offer up two  tracks of killer black metal, doom, and sludge.  Overall, The Space Between Your Teeth is brutal as fuck and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy  This killer split LP was released via Roman Numeral and Tridroid records on January 15th, 2020.

Damn, It's shaping up to be a really busy year for CA's Keeper.  Keeper have released two albums and are gearing up to release a third split cassette with Old Witch on July 25th, so basically, I'm playing catch up today as far as the band is concerned.  Keeper are a four piece band from California who formed in June of 2014.  Keeper dropped a killer four song demo titled MMXIV back July of 2014 that absolutely made my jaw drop when I reviewed it on Manic Compression and Elementary Revolt back in 2014.  Keeper play a dark, visceral, and brutal as fuck sounding style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, sludge, death metal, doom, and sludge within their sound.  Musically, Keeper can be loosely compared to bands such as Mutilation Rites, Ilsa, Hexis, and Thou.  The Space Between Your Teeth is the band's latest two song 12", which was released via Crown And Throne Ltd. on April 1st, 2015.  On The Space Between Your Teeth, Keeper offer up two new tracks of killer hardcore, punk, sludge, death metal, doom, and sludge.  Overall, The Space Between Your Teeth is brutal as fuck and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Here's a killer split LP featuring new tracks from Keeper and Sea Bastard.  Keeper are a four piece band from California who formed in June of 2014.  Keeper dropped a killer four song demo titled MMXIV back July of 2014 that absolutely made my jaw drop when I reviewed it on Manic Compression and Elementary Revolt back in 2014.  Keeper play a dark, visceral, and brutal as fuck sounding style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, sludge, death metal, doom, and sludge within their sound.  Musically, Keeper can be loosely compared to bands such as Mutilation Rites, Ilsa, Hexis, and Thou.  On their side of the split, Keeper offer up on track titled 777, which clocks in at a little under fourteen minutes.  Sea Bastard is up next on side two.  Sea Bastard is a four piece band from Brighton, UK who formed in 2012.  Sea Bastard play an opressive, oppressive, and heavy as fuck sounding style of music that incorporates elements of doom, sludge, death metal, and stoner rock within their sound.  Sea Bastard cite Sleep, Cathedral, Celtic Frost, Corrupted, Black Sabbath, Burning Witch, Weedeater, Electric Wizard, Ramesses, St Vitus, and Pentagram as influences, which definitely shows up in the band's sound and style.  Musically, Sea Bastard can loosely be compared to bands such as Moloch, USNEA, and Lightbearer.  On their side of the album, Sea Bastard offer up on song titled Astral Rebirth, which clocks in at a little under 21 minutes.  Overall, this is a killer split and is an absolute must listen for fans of modern doom, sludge, and death metal.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!  This album was released via Medusa Crush Recordings and Dry Cough records on June 25th, 2015.
