Aseethe is a three piece band from Iowa City, Iowa who formed in 2007. Aseethe play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post metal, doom, and sludge within their sound. Since forming in 2007, Aseethe have released a split LP with Mauul in January of 2008, a split LP with Shores Of The Tundra in January of 2009, a split LP with Ghaust in January of 2010, a four song LP titled Reverent Burden in May of 2011, a one-sided 12" titled Red Horizon in April of 2012, a two song LP titled Burdens II in June of 2014, a two song LP titled Nothing Left, Nothing Gained in February of 2015, a cover of Black Sabbath's Rat Salad for CVLT Nation's Paranaoid: The CVLT Nation Sessions in July of 2015, a two song LP titled Cast In Ruin in November of 2016, a ten song LP titled Hopes In Failure in July of 2017, and a split EP with Snow Burial in June of 2018. Throes is the band's latest LP, which was released via Thrill Jockey records on May 17th, 2019. On Throes, Aseethe offer up five tracks of ugly, ominous, and oppressive as fuck sounding post metal, doom, and sludge. Overall, Throes makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
