Happy Diving is a five piece band from Boston, MA, Seattle, WA, and Oakland, CA who formed in September of 2013. Happy Diving play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of punk, grunge, and shoegaze within their sound. Musically, Happy Diving can be said to be influenced by bands such as Dinosaur Jr., Built To Spill, and Weezer. Happy Diving can be loosely compared to bands such as California X, Solids, Yuck, and Sneeze. Since their inception in 2013, Happy Diving have released a four song self-titled EP in January 2014. Big World is Happy Diving's debut full-length LP, which was released via Father/Daughter records on November 4th, 2014. On Big World, Happy Diving offer up ten tracks of fuzzy, reverb drenched, and riff heavy punk, grunge, and shoegaze. Overall, Big World is an impossibly catchy album and Happy Diving is an absolute must listen for fans of California X, Ovlov, and Solids. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
