Holy shit. This band is intense as hell. Barque is a four piece band from Lille, France who formed in 2013. Barque play a dark, tense, and, metallic style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, crust, and emoviolence within their sound. Musically, Barque can be loosely compared to bands such as Throwers, Withers, Lich, Coalesce, and Lentic Waters. Since forming in 2013, Barque have released a digital single titled The Necromancer in June of 2014 and a six song 12" titled Coffin Cutters in September of 2016. Pyre Builders is the band's latest EP, which was released via Suspended Soul Tapes & records, 5 Feet Under, Smithsfoodgroup DIY, Black Omega Recordings, Mosh Potatoes, Pumpkin Records, Rip Roaring Shitstorm Records, 59SRS, Eastrain Records, and KLVR Records on January 14th, 2019. On Pyre Builders, Barque offer up five tracks of brutal as fuck hardcore, punk, and crust. Overall, Pyre Builders makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended!
