Autarch is a four piece band from Asheville, North Carolina who formed in 2010.  Autarch play a dark and haunting style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, and neo crust within their sound.  Musically, Autarch can be loosely compared to   bands such as His Hero Is Gone, Tragedy, Holy Mountain, as well as more recent bands such as Recreant, Amber, and Ancst.  Since forming in 2010, Autarch have released a four song self-titled EP in June of 2012, a five song LP titled The Death Of Actiacus in April of 2013, a split LP with Soothsayer in May of 2016, and a split LP with Landbridge in February of 2017.  The Light Escaping is the band's latest LP, which was released via The Plague of Man, Replenish, and Profane Existence records on September 20th, 2019.  On The Light Escaping Autarch offer up six tracks of vicious and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, neo crust, and sludge.  Overall, The Light Escaping makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!
