Cassus is a four piece band from Norwich, United Kingdom who formed in late 2011, from the looks of things.  Cassus play a completely chaotic, unhinged, and volatile style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, screamo, and emoviolence within their sound.  Musically, Cassus can be said to be influenced by bands such as Saetia, You And I, Orchid, Ampere, Capacities and other-like minded bands. That great thing about Cassus, is that they off-set their seething and chaotic sound with hints of melody to keep things from getting stale or repetitive.  Since their inception in 2011, Cassus have released a song for the Real Screamo Volume II compilation in 2012, a split with I Don't Want To Know Why The Caged Bird Sings in June of 2012, and a split with ¡Silencio, Ahora, Silencio! in November of 2013.  This Is Dead Art, This Is Dead Time, But We May Still Yet Live is Cassus' latest full-length LP, which was released via React With Protest, Structures//Agony, Don't Care, Framecode, and Samegrey records on November 28th, 2015.  On This Is Dead Art, This Is Dead Time, But We May Still Yet Live, Cassus offer up nine tracks of chaotic and volatile sounding hardcore, punk, screamo, and emoviolence.  Overall, This Is Dead Art, This Is Dead Time, But We May Still Yet Live is a killer LP and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Lentic Waters is a five piece band from Münster, Germany who formed in September of 2010.  Lentic Waters play a crushing and devastatingly heavy style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, screamo, and crust within their sound.  Musically, Lentic Waters can be loosely compared to bands such as Planks, Geranium, Locktender, Old Soul, Kaddish, and other like-minded bands.  Since their inception in 2010, Lentic Waters have released a nine song self-titled LP in May of 2011, a split LP with Planks in June of 2013, and a split LP with Old Soul in July of 2014.  The Path is Lentic Waters' latest full-length LP, which was released via React With Protest. Maniyax, Zegema Beach, IFB, and Deadwood Records on August 12th, 2015.  On The Path, Lentic Waters offer up nine tracks of blackened, metallic, and brutal as fuck sounding post hardcore, screamo, and crust.  Overall, The Path is an amazing album that should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Autarkeia is a killer hardcore, punk, and screamo band from Florida, who formed in 2011.  Autarkeia features Nevin who runs IFB records.  Autarkeia play a dark and crusty style of modern screamo that gives nods to bands such as Saetia and You And I.  On their side of the split LP, Autarkeia offer up four tracks of dark and crusty sounding modern screamo.  The second band on the LP is Me And Goliath.  Me And Goliath is hardcore, punk, and screamo band from Kent, United Kingdom, who formed in 2013.  Me And Goliath a tense, chaotic, and volatile sound of hardcore, punk, and screamo.  Me And Goliath's sound can be said to be influenced by bands such as Catena Collapse, The Saddest Landscape, and Indian Summer.  On their side of the split, Me And Goliath offer up seven tracks of killer hardcore, punk, and screamo.  Overall, this is a killer split LP and both bands offer up top notch material for this release.  This album was released via IFB and React With Protest records on October 23rd, 2014.

Tentacles are a four piece band from San Antonio, Texas who formed in 2006.  Tentacles play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, screamo, emoviolence, and grindcore within their sound.  Musically, Tentacles can be loosely compared to bands such as Republic Of Dreams, Totem Skin, Resurrectionists, and other like-minded bands.  Since their inception in 2006, Tentacles have released a self-titled demo cassette, a six song EP titled This Is Where We Are. We Started Where We are in May of 2008, a five song EP titled Isolation Is A Gift in June of 2010, and a and a six song EP titled Cogita Mori in August of 2013.  Ambivalence is the band's latest seven song LP, which will be released later this summer via Dead Tank, IFB, Zegema Beach, React With Protest, and Deadwood records.  On their latest LP, Tentacles offer up seven new tracks of brutal and scathing as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, screamo, emoviolence, and grindcore.  Overall, Ambivalence is an amazing album that should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Here's a killer split 7" featuring new tracks of two of my favorite current screamo bands.  The first fur tracks come courtesy of Texa based band Republic Of Dreams.  Republic Of Dreams are a Texas based hardcore, punk, screamo, and emoviolence band from Texas who formed in 2012.  Republic Of Dreams play a killer style of music influenced by bands such as Orchid, Jerome's Dream, and Ampere.  On their side of the split, Republic Of Dreams offer up four tracks of cahotic and volatile as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, screamo, and emoviolence.  On the second side of the split features a new song from Autarkeia.  Autarkeia is a killer hardcore, punk, and screamo band featuring Nevin who runs IFB records.  Autarkeia play a dark and crusty style of modern screamo that gives nods to bands such as Saetia and You And I.  Overall, this is a killer split 7" and both bands offer up top notch material for this release.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!  This split 7" was released via React With Protest, Zegema Beach, and IFB records on January 15th, 2015.
