Here's a killer split featuring two of my favorite bands offering up covers of awesome 90's bands.  These two killer covers come courtesy of CT's Intercourse and Kansas City, Missouri's Canyons.  Regular readers of the blog should be very familiar with both bands appearing on the split, so I'll spare you from enduring my usual spiel here.  The 1st cover comes courtesy of Intercourse who offer up a cover of Harvey Danger's Flagpole Sitta.  The second cover comes courtesy of Canyons who offer up a killer cover Folk Implosion's Natural One.  Overall, this is a fun compilation of songs and definitely should not be missed.  Highly recommended.  Lover for this killer split 7" to be released via The Ghost Is Clear records in December.

Intercourse is a three piece band from New Haven, CT who formed in 2014.  Intercourse play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, and noise rock within their sound.  Musically, Intercourse can be loosely compared to bands such as Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye, Fight Amp, Some Girls, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2014, Intercourse have released a self-titled seven song EP in July of 2014, a six song EP titled Enablers in April of 2016, a six song EP titled Pissing Into The Abyss in November of 2016, a split 7" with The Asound in September of 2017, a a two song EP titled I Honestly Don't Care When Or How I Die Anymore in November of 2017, a full-length LP titled Everything Is Pornography When You've Got An Imagination in March of 2018, a five song EP titled  Bum Wine in March of 2019, and an Eight Song live LP titled One Day Your Hate Will  Follow You Home in June of 2020.  Rule 36 is Intercourse's latest EP, which was released on April 1st, 2021.  Rule 36, Intercourse offer up nine tracks of vicious, ugly, harsh, brutal, and completely unhinged sounding hardcore, punk, and noise rock.  Overall, Rule 36 makes for an amazing listen and will definitely end up being one of my favorite releases of 2021.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Here's a killer split 7" featuring CT's Intercourse and North Carolina's The Asound.  Intercourse is a three piece band from New Haven, CT who formed in 2014.  Intercourse play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, and noise rock within their sound.  Musically, Intercourse can be loosely compared to bands such as Grizzlor, Fight Amp, Whores, and other like-minded bands.  Since forming in 2014, Intercourse have released a self-titled seven song EP in July of 2014, a six song EP titled Enablers in April of 2016, and a six song EP titled Pissing Into The Abyss in November of 2016.  For this release, Intercourse offer up two tracks of ugly, filthy, and caustic as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, and noise rock.  The second two tracks on this 7" come courtesy of The Asound.  The Asound is a three piece band from 2013, from the looks of things.  The Asound play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, sludge, and powerviolence within their sound.  Since forming in 2013, The Asound have released a split with Flat Tires in December of 2013, a split with Magma Rise in December of 2013, appeared on the Son Of The Transcendental Maggot compilation in December of 2013, a split with Mark Deutrom in August of 2014, a split LP with Lenoir Swingers Club in September of 2014, a live recording titled Live At The Hickory VFW in June of 2017, and a self-titled EP in March of 2016.  For this release, The Asound offer up two tracks of killer hardcore, punk, and sludge.  Overall, this is a fantastic split and definitely should not be missed!  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!  The split was released via Tsguri records on September 1st, 2017.
