Damn, Here's a killer split 7" featuring new material from Austin, Texas based Portrayal Of Guilt and Atlanta, Georgia's Slow Fire Pistol. Portrayal Of Guilt is a three piece band from Austin Texas who formed in
2016, from the looks of things. Portrayal Of Guilt features members of
Illustrations and play a brutal and vicious style of blackened
hardcore, punk, screamo, black metal, crust, and emoviolence within
their sound.
Musically, Portrayal Of Guilt can be loosely compared to Majority Rule,
Forensics, Orchid, Jesuit, and other like-minded bands. Since forming
in 2016, Portrayal Of Guilt have released a self-titled 7" in May of
2017, a digital single titled Spiritual Cramp in October of 2017, a
split 7" with Street Sects in March of 2018, a digital single titled
Chamber Of Misery (Pt.1) in July of 2018, a full-length LP titled Let Pain Be Your Guide in November of 2018, a six song 12" titled Suffering Is A Gift in August of 2019, and a split 7"
with Soft Kill on September 4th, 2019. On their side of the split Portrayal Of Guilt offer up one track of vicious, volatile, and
chaotic hardcore, punk, black metal, screamo, crust, and emoviolence. The second side of the 7" belongs to Slow Fire Pistol. Slow Fire Pistol is a four piece band from Atlanta, Georgia who formed
in early 2016, from the looks of things. Slow Fire Pistol play a killer
style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, emo, and
screamo within their sound. Musically, Slow Fire Pistol can be loosely
compared to bands such as A Day In Black And White, Life At These
Speeds, Sinaloa, Old Gray, You And I, and other like-minded bands.
Since forming in 2016, Slow Fire Pistol have released a self-titled demo
in April of 2016, a four song EP titled Moment Of Clarity in September
of 2016, a six song EP titled Beauty in December of 2017, and a six song EP titled Love Riddled With Conditions in June of 2019. On their side of the split, Slow Fire Pistol offer up one track of volatile and chaotic sounding hardcore, punk, emo, and screamo.
