Institute is a band from Austin, Texas who formed in late 2013.  Institute feature members of Glue, Wiccans, and back to back.  Institute play a killer style of punk filtered through a hefty dose of 70's garage rock and early post punk.  Musically, Institute call to mind bands such as the MC5, New York Dolls, The Stooges, The Wipers, Wire, and other classic punk bands.  Since their inception in 2013, Institute have released a self-titled demo 12" in October of 2013, a three song 7" titled Giddy Boys in June of 2014, and a five song 12" EP titled Salt in October of 2014.  Catharsis is Institute's debut full-length LP, which was released via Sacred Bones records on June 9th, 2015.  On their latest LP, Institute offer up ten songs of politically charged punk, post punk, and garage rock that's an absolute must listen for fans of Hot Snakes, Highway Cross, The Golden Boys, and Crisis.  Overall, Catharsis is a killer album and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Absolut is a band based out of Toronto, Ontario who formed in January of 2013.  Abolut play a devastatingly brutal style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, crust, and d-beat within their sound.  Musically, Absolut can be loosely compared to bands such as Vaaska, Oiltanker, Symptom, and No Power.  Since their 2013, Absolut have released a six song demo in January of 2013, a nine song LP titled Punk Survival in January of 2014, and a split 7" with Sweden's Paranoid in January of 2015.  Hell's Highest Power is Absolut's latest full-length LP, which is going to be released via D-Tact & Rapunk Records in July, from the looks of things.  On Hell's Highest Power, Absolut offer up thirteen tracks of devastating, scathing, and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, crust, and d-beat.  Overall, Hell's Highest Power is an amazing album and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Prisons are a Underjord, Sweden based band who formed in the winter of 2014/2015.  Prisons feature members of hardcore/sludge band Ignominy and members of psychedelic doom band Phant.  Prisons play a killer style of post metal and noise rock with flourishes of noise drenched experimental atmospherics thrown in for good measure.  Musically, Prisons can be said to be similar to bands such as Negative Standards, Cult Of Luna, and Red Sea era Isis.  This is the band's debut self-titled EP.  On their debut four song offering, Prisons offer up four tracks of dark, gloomy, and noise-drenched post metal/noise rock.  Overall, this is a killer EP and should not be missed.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!

Flesh World are a four piece band from San Francisco, CA who formed in late 2013, from the looks of things.  Flesh World feature members of Limp Wrist, Needles and Brilliant Colors.  With that being said, don't expect scathing/unhinged hardcore from Flesh World.  Flesh World play a dark and reverb drenched style of post punk, punk, and shoegaze.  The Wild Animals is Flesh World's second LP, which was released via Iron Lung records on June 2nd, 2015.  On The Wild Animals In My Life, Flesh World offer up eight tracks of brilliantly executed post punk and shoegaze that's an absolute must listen for fans of Whirr, Annex, and Weekend.  Overall, The Wild Animals is a killer LP and should not be overlooked.  Highly recommended!  Enjoy!
