One Step Closer is a five piece band from Wilkes, Barre Pennsylvania who formed in 2017. One Step Closer play an energetic, melodic, and catchy as hell style of modern hardcore/punk. Musically, One Step Closer can be loosely compared to bands such as Defeater, Bane, Have Heart, Fury, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2017, One Step Closer have released a self-titled six song EP in April of 2017 and a three song promo EP in December of 2017. The Place You Know is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via Run For Cover records on September 24th, 2021. On The Place You Know, One Step Closer offer up ten tracks of energetic, sincere, and melodic sounding modern hardcore/punk. Overall, The Place You Know makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed, Great stuff! Enjoy!
