Recluse is a three piece band from New Orleans, Louisiana who formed in 2016. Recluse play an ugly, volatile, and chaotic as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of metal, doom, grindcore, powerviolence, and thrash within their sound. Musically, Recluse can be loosely compared to bands such as Wake, WVRM, Nails, early Full Of Hell, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2016, Recluse have released a self-titled eight song EP in March of 2016, a ten song EP titled Malign in December of 2017, and a a thirteen song Leeched in September of 2018. Long Gone Light is the band's latest EP, which was released on April 20th, 2021. On Long Gone Light, Recluse offer up four tacks of ugly, volatile, and brutal as fuck sounding metal, doom, grindcore, powerviolence, and thrash. Overall, Long Gone Light makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
