Serpent Eater is a five piece band from Cologne, Germany who formed in 2012. Serpent Eater play a vicious and brutal as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, crust, death metal, black metal, and sludge within their sound. Musically, Serpent Eater can be loosely compared to bands such as Homewrecker, Like Rats, Scorched, Rot In Hell, Gatecreeper, Blind To Faith, Vegas, Disfear, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2012, Serpent Eater have released a digital single titled Serpent Eater in December of 2012, a digital single titled In The Wall in July of 2013, and a five song LP titled Hyena in December of 2013. Vanitas is the band's latest LP, which was released via WOOAAARGH! and 7 Degrees records on January 1st, 2020. On Vanitas, Serpent Eater offer up seven tracks of vicious and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, crust, death metal, black metal, and sludge. Overall, Vanitas makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
