Slow Mass is a four piece band from Chicago, Illinois who formed in 2017, from the looks of things. Slow Mass play a really unique sounding style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, grunge, and alt. rock within their sound. Musically, Slow Mass can be loosely compared to bands such as Burning Airlines, The Appleseed Cast, Casket Lottery, Broken Water, and other-like minded bands. These varied influences results in a sound that's actually really refreshing and hard to describe, as far as I'm concerned. Since forming in 2017, Slow Mass have released a six song EP titled Treasure Pains in September of 2016, a two song Audiotree live EP titled Far out in June of 2017, thirteen song LP titled On Watch in May of 2018, and a two song EP titled Music For Ears 1 in April of 2019. Music For Ears 2 is the band's latest EP, which is slated for release via Landland records on April 12th, 2020 . On Music For Ears 2, Slow Mass offer up one track of killer post hardcore, punk, grunge, and alt. rock as well as a cover of Pygmy Lush's I'll Wait For You. Overall, Music For Ears 2 makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
