Blood Sun Circle is a four piece band from Syracuse, New York who formed in 2012. Blood Sun Circle features 3/4 of the band Engineer, which was one of my favorite hardcore bands of the last decade. Blood Sun Circle play a dark and ominous style of music that incorporates elements of stoner rock, grunge, and post rock within their sound. Musically, Blood Sun Circle can be said to be influenced by bands such as Young Widows, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Black Heart Procession, and other like-minded bands. Since their inception in 2012 a self-titled four song EP in November of 2012. Bloodiest/Sunniest is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via Hex records on June 1st, 2014. On Bloodiest/Sunniest, Blood Sun Circle offer up eight tracks of dark and ominous grunge, stoner rock, and post punk that's an absolute must listen for fans of Young Widows, Bad Sects, and Blood Pheasant. Overall, Bloodiest/Sunniest is an amazing album that should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
