Descent is a five piece band from Brisbane, Australia who formed in 2014. Descent features members of From These Wounds, Scumguts, Dire Wolf, Coffin Birth, The Fevered, and Siberian Hell Sounds, so going on that alone, you know you're in for some really amazing tunes. Descent play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, black metal, crust, d-beat, and grindcore within their sound. Musically, Descent can be loosely compared to bands such as Gatecreeper, Hexis, Of Feather And Bone, Moral Void, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2014, Descent have released a self-titled demo in November of 2015. Towers Of Grandiosity is the band's latest EP, which was released via Redefining Darkness records on September 1st, 2018. On Towers Of Grandiosity, Descent offer up nine tracks of vicious and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, black metal, crust, d-beat, and grindcore. Overall, Towers Of Grandiosity makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
