Vulturepeak is a two piece band from Wilkes, Barre, Pennsylvania who formed in 2012, from the looks of things. Vulturepeak play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post metal, post hardcore, metal, and experimental noise within their sound. Musically, Vulturepeak can be loosely compared to bands such as Wreck And Reference, Author And Punisher, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2012, Vulturepeak have released a self-titled eight song LP in August of 2012, a three song EP titled Filament Palace in September of 2013, a seven song EP titled Live/Improv Noise in January of 2015, and an eleven song LP titled Wrapped In Tar in January of 2018. Snake Body is the band's latest LP, which was released on March 25th, 2018. On Snake Body, Vulturepeak take a different approach, and lean more towards a straight forward noise-tinged hardcore sound, taking cues from bands such as Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye, and Fight Amp. With that said, I'm really digging this new album and think that this is Vulture Peak's best material to date. Overall, Snake Body makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.
