Ruby is a four piece band from Berlin, Germany who formed in early 2016, from the looks of things. Ruby features members of Idle Hands, Blank Pages, Die Tunnel, Out On A Limb, Dulac, and Randy's Ripcord. Ruby play an infectiously catchy style of music that incorporates elements of punk, post punk, and garage rock within their sound. Musically, Ruby can be loosely compared to bands such as the Estranged, Terrible Feelings, and early White Lung. Since forming in 2016, Ruby have released a five track self-titled demo in March of 2016 and a five song self-titled 12" in November of 2016. This is the band's latest four song 7", which was released via Rockstar records on January 21st, 2017. On their latest 7", Ruby offer up four tracks of melodic an catchy as hell sounding punk, post punk, and garage rock. Overall, this is a really solid 7" and definitely worth checking out.
