God Root is a five piece band from Philadelphia, PA who formed in the winter of 2015. God Root play a dark and atmospheric style of music that incorporates elements of doom, post metal, crust, and sludge within their sound. Musically, God Root can be said to be influenced by bands such as Northless, Sannhet, Eyehategod, Neurosis, and Saviours. This is the band's debut four song EP, which was released on January 9th, 2016. On their self-titled debut, God Root offer up four songs of dark, atmospheric, and oppressive sounding doom, post metal, crust, and sludge. Overall, this is a killer EP and should not be missed.
