Skaphe is a two piece band from Philadelpha, PA who formed in early 2014, from the looks of things. Skaphe play a dark, ambient, and atmospheric sounding style of music that incorporates elements of black metal, death metal, and doom within their sound. Musically, Skaphe can be loosely compared to bands such as Alter Of Plagues, Columns, Ancestors, Plaguebearer, and other like-minded bands. Since their inception in 2014, Skaphe have released a self-titled four song EP in May of 2014. This is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released on March 4th 2016 via Fallen Empire and I, Voidhanger records. On II, Skaphe offer up six tracks of ominous and oppressive sounding black metal, death metal, and doom. Overall, this is a killer LP and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
