Alter is a three piece band from Baltimore, MD. who formed in the winter of 2015, by the looks of things. Alter feature members of Barbelith and MNWA. Alter play a killer style of reverb heavy and distorted as fuck sounding shoegaze and indie rock. Musically, Alter can be loosely compared to bands such as Cloakroom, Whirr, Weekend, and other like-minded bands. Since their inception in 2015, Alter have released a five song EP titled False Dawn in 2015, and a digital single titled Static Sea in June of 2015. This is the band's latest 3 song 7", which was released on March 1st, 2016. On their latest three song 7", Alter offer up three tracks of fuzzy and distorted sounding shoegaze and indie rock. Overall, this is a killer 7" and should not be missed. Look for a physical release via Hidden Door records soon. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
